SCHOOL AID PROJECT (SAP)'S PURPOSE

The purpose of School Aid Project (SAP) is to distribute educational scholarships to children whose parents are struggling financially and can't afford to pay educational fees. SAP is a component of Gerakan 100 Ribu under our Heartline Peduli outreach. According to data from the Ministry of National Education of Indonesia, in 2009 over 1.5 million Indonesian teenagers had to leave school. And in Banten Province alone, 135,800 children from elementary to high school are not able to continue their studies, while another 19,800 are not attending school at all. Banten has more than 6,900 schools, but some of them are damaged. Structural problems are just one reason that children are unable to attend classes that the current economic crisis has also added to the obstacles for children to get the education they need and want. These children would like to continue their studies and progress to the university level to get a degree. There are 110,000 children waiting for your help. SAP'S DISTRIBUTION AREAS

From 2008 to May 2011, 350 children received educational scholarships through SAP. Those children live in Jakarta, Tangerang, Aceh, Riau, Tomohon, Mamasa, Minahasa and Manado.

DETAILS OF REQUIREMENTS

These are details about School Aid Project:

1.	How to become a coordinator:

	1.1.	Good attitude, honest in distribute the aid.

	1.2.	Send the recipe back to YASKI and also the study report from the children.

	1.3.	Must to report per 3 month and reporting the student prosperity.

	1.4.	Give the testimony from each parent when they recipe the aid.

	1.5.	The coordinators and the receiver of radio listeners, especially to all of FEBC Manila, KFBS Saipan, and Heartline FM.

	1.6.	The coordinators fill the agreement.

	1.7.	Coordinators refill the applicant form every year.

2.	Visiting

	2.1.	For all of the aid that we donate to our SW listeners, we did not home visiting. We trust to the coordinator that we appointed. If we must to visit them, of course it is very expensive and need a long time to do.

	2.2.	We just visit on Tangerang only which is around of our office with the coordinator to saw them directly about the family condition, and also we take a picture for our document/reporting.

3.	Because they are poor family and very difficult to fulfill the basic requirement, until the school fee, books, final exam fee, etc are very necessity.

	3.2.	Many of our participants are become from Elementary School than Junior or Senior High School.

	3.3.	The elementary school is 6 years education longer.

4.	YASKI's reason to the aid participant:

	4.1.	We got some information from our coordinator; explain about his parish church background that really needs to help.

	4.2.	We receive many letters and telephone from the listeners and they explain about their economic condition.

	4.3.	We ask for the student, if they must to have the spirit to school until they finish it.

	4.4.	We saw the family condition directly anything will do.

Donation per child per month IDR 100,000,- provides the following:

a.	Uniform

b.	Text Books

c.	School Fees

d.	Operational SAP Distribution

Rp 200.000,- per month	:	you helped 2 children,
Rp 300.000,- per month	:	you helped 3 children,
etc.

To support 350 children we need:

100,000 x 350 = IDR 35,000,000

In one year needs:

35,000,000 x 12 = IDR 420,000,000

We already gathered IDR 7,153,928,-. So, in one month we still need:

IDR 35,000,000 - IDR 7,153,928 = IDR 27,846,072
