The majority of people in this area – approximately 50 families (100 children and 50 adults) - work as scavengers.
Heartline FM's Community Development offers assistance to these people, both through material goods and by teaching them about, health, family, character building and business skills.

Widows Feeding
While it may be easy for most people to get food, these widows often must scavenge for food in garbage dumps at Kampung Sawah to eat. Through your help, Heartline FM provides them with a decent meal, including a meat-based meal once a week. These simple gifts make them shed tears of joy and gratitude. |
